    This technologist will serve as a generalist within the Cytogenetic Laboratory. Responsibilities include specimen processing, short and long term tissue culturing, microscope analysis, FISH analysis, slide preparation/staining, imaging/computer enhanced karyotyping and general laboratory duties. Specialist in Cytogenetics preferred. Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm (M-F) with holiday/weekend rotation.

• SURGICAL PATHOLOGY

    Applicant must be proficient in all aspects of routine Histology, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and maintenance of equipment. In addition, advanced skills in Immunohistochemistry, special stains and frozen tissue sectioning will be expected (training provided). This position requires a minimum of 1 year of histology experience, with HTL (ASCP) certification or eligibility as defined by the ASCP. Uncertified candidates must obtain certification within 18 months of hire. Work hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include supervision of personnel, budget preparation and monitoring and strategic planning for growth. Applicant must have Bachelor's degree with a major in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry or a Biological Science plus six years of laboratory experience in a related area, three of which have been in supervision.
