Skilled Trades


ELECTRICIAN - 5144

Requires high school diploma or GED and four years of progressive experience in the maintenance and installation of electrical systems, equipment, and devices in institutional buildings and facilities as a journeyman electrician. Prefer a Limited Electrician’s license by the NC Board of Examiners as a minimum licensing level however this is not a requirement.

SKILLS REQUIRED: NC BUILDING CODES/REGULATIONS, NC DRIVERS LICENSE (valid), POWER TOOLS, CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, NC LIC. ELECTRICIAN, ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL DESIGN, READ/INTERPRET BLUEPRINTS

  • MAINTENANCE

    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      Duties of this position are associated with the electrical maintenance program consisting of general and preventive maintenance or construction tasks. Must be skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving techniques to locate and correct defects in electrical systems, perform electrical systems tests using electrical testing equipment and document findings. Knowledge of safety regulations, NEC and the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade are required, preferably in a healthcare or institutional facility. Must be able to climb ladders, work in small and confined spaces. Ability to interpret and work independently from plans and specifications, written work orders, or from oral instructions is required. Knowledge of design, installation and maintenance of facility electrical systems and equipment used in hospital facilities, as well as specific patient care systems is preferred. Prefer a minimum of Limited Electrician’s license by the NC Board of Examiners and requires a minimum of 4 years experience as Journeyman Electrician. Must be able to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required.

HVAC MECHANIC - 5130

Requires high school diploma or GED, CFC certification and a minimum of three years experience working as an HVAC technician installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning, heating, ventilation, chillers, Chilled water distribution, refrigeration and control systems.

SKILLS REQUIRED: NC DRIVERS LICENSE (valid), EPA TYPE I/II/III CFC CERT., HVAC

  • MAINTENANCE

    This person will perform skilled work in the repair, construction, and maintenance of various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including associated air handling, control devices and equipment, heating, ventilation, chilled water distribution systems, chillers and energy management control systems. Must have three years progressive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, air handling, chiller, chilled water distribution, refrigeration, and control systems or equivalent education and experience. CFC certification is required for all levels of work performed to meet EPA Type I, II, III, or universal technician requirements as referenced in 40 CFR part 82, subpart F. Must be able to climb ladders, work in small and confined spaces and use various breathing apparatus. The applicant must be able to work set and/or rotating schedules as required

    • Full-time, Rotating, 40hrs/week
