Nursing/Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)


CHIEF NURSE ANESTHETIST-U - 9112

Requires graduation from an AANA approved school of Nurse Anesthesia, currently certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Minimum 2 years experience as a Nurse Anesthetist in a large tertiary care medical center or teaching institution.

  • ANESTHESIOLOGY DEPARTMENT
    • Full-time, 40hrs/week
      The Chief CRNA will provide overall administrative support for the Department of Anesthesiology’s CRNAs. Chief CRNA will be responsible for scheduling CRNAs according to the master staffing plan, recruit and retain CRNAs, manage time and attendance, monitor licensure and certification, maintain continuing education units, perform annual performance reviews, schedule SRNA rotations, and. prepare, maintain, and monitor the department budget for CRNAs. Chief CRNA will manage, coordinate and administer safe anesthesia in accordance with the Department of Anesthesiology standards of care (20-40% time commitment).

NURSE ANESTHETIST - 2200

Requires graduation from an AANA approved school of Nurse Anesthesia, currently certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

      UNC Anesthesiology provides the full range of clinical anesthesia services. Working closely with the clinical departments, the Department offers a full spectrum of anesthesia care to patients of all ages. The CRNA practice includes regional and general anesthesia in 36 OR suites. The comprehensive organ transplant program, extensive pediatric anesthesia services, a regional burn center, and an active robotics surgery are included in our services.
