CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION SPEC-N- PER DIEM - 7014

Requires graduation from a program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health and Accreditation, or graduation from a special procedures program, or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. One year of experience in at least one of the following areas required: cardiac catheterization, special procedures, critical care, coronary care, intensive care, respiratory therapy or emergency department. Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire.

  • CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION
    • 40hrs/week
      EP/Cath lab experience 2 years min

  • ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY LAB
    • 40hrs/week
      EP/Cath 2 years min experience.

CLINICAL NURSE II/TIER I - 2018

Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and one year of nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.

  • TRANSFUSION MEDICINE SERVICE
    • Full-time, Days, , 40hrs/week
      This position performs therapeutic apheresis procedures such as plasma exchange and RBC exchange, peripheral blood stem cell collections in preparation for transplant and therapeutic phlebotomies. This position works Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and takes call one night per week and every fifth weekend for emergent procedures. Therapeutic/donor apheresis experience and phlebotomy skills are helpful.

CLINICAL NURSE II/TIER II - 2022

Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.

  • DIAGNOSTIC CARDIAC SERVICES
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      Knowledgeable Cardiac and Vascular resource to ensure efficient and easy access to CV services. Facilitate volume growth via customer service and relationship development. Cardiac and/or vascular experience preferred

  • HEALTHLINK
    • 20hrs/week
      This position staffs the UNC HealthLink (Call Center) 24 hour nurse based triage program. Must have superior nursing skills with strong clinical knowledge base and excellent counseling and patient education skills. Requires a minimum of three years nursing experience including one year of pediatric nursing experience. INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

  • NEPHROLOGY SPECIALTY CLINIC
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      This position is in the Nephrology clinic located at the Ambulatory Care Center. Registered nurse to coordinate patient care and provide continuity of care within a multidisciplinary team for Adult and Pediatric patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment, detail oriented, able to multitask. Will assist providers with procedures, patient education, triage patients, administer medications, and assist with specimen collection and intravenous management. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be highly motivated and patient centered.

CLINICAL REVIEW COORDINATOR - 2016

Requires graduation from a state-accreditedschool of professional nursing, BSN and three years of clinical nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

SKILLS REQUIRED: DATA ANALYSIS, CHART AUDITING, DATABASE MANAGEMENT, ANALYTICAL SKILLS

  • PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT & PATIENT SAFETY
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      This position is responsible for collecting information from multiple electronic sources to support medical staff, performance improvement, and peer review activities. The Peer Review Coordinators will support the Offices of the Chief of Staff and the Associate Chief of Staff in developing and maintaining peer review indicators; collect indicator data on processes and outcomes to assist the medical staff in identifying sub-optimal clinical outcomes; track the status of all case reviews and prepare reports to be entered into the Physician Quality profile for physician reappointment; and to perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff, Associate Chief of Staff or Patient Safety Officer to support physician peer review and/or patient safety. The position reports directly to the Patient Safety Officer for performing the job responsibilities. The position works directly with the Associate Chief of Staff who serves as chair of the Credentials Committee of the Medical Staff. In addition, the position will interface with members of the Medical Staff, Risk Management, Office of Medical Staff Services, Performance Improvement and Patient Safety. Considerable independence is expected of the Clinical Review Coordinator. Absolute accuracy and impeccable judgment are required. The employee must have a highly developed attention to detail and accuracy. Consequences of error may subject physicians to unnecessary review, and could impact the legal liability of UNC Hospitals. Verbal and written communication skills are also valuable.

WOUND OSTOMY CONTINENCE NURSE SPECIALIST - 2123

Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing, two years of RN experience, expert level assessment and clinical intervention skills and certification as a WOCN. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

  • NURSING EDUCATION & RESEARCH
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      Position is responsible for providing specialized consultation on wound, ostomy & continence issues for patients, families, nursing & medical staff. Position serves patients/families with direct care and consultation and education of nursing and medical staff on wound, ostomy and skin care issues.
