      The Department of Occupational and Physical Therapy is accepting applications for a full time Per Diem Occupational Therapist. This OTR will work with a variety of patients on several teams such as acute in patient services and rehab.This position will work closely with OTs, OTAs and PTs within the team to provide quality care to a large volume, fast paced patient population.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST I - 2700

Requires licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.

      UNC Hospitals, a 700 bed, tertiary care, university teaching hospital is currently recruiting for an OT to work with the inpatient orthopedic, trauma and neurocardiopulmonary patient population. This therapist will work with an OTA and PTs and PTAs in a high intensity, fast paced environment. He/she will work closely with MDs, nursing, and others for comprehensive patient care. Applicants should have good problem solving and organizational skills; splinting experienceis desirable, but not required.

      The University of North Carolina OT/PT Department Psychiatry and Rehabilitation team is seeking a licensed OT assistant to work in psychiatry, primarily with adolescent patients, but also would cover on the adult and child psychiatry units as needed. As a member of this team, you would provide services on the in-patient rehabilitation team as needed. Duties include leading groups, attending team meetings, and being the designated contact for OT on the adolescent unit. This position would allow you to work with a variety of patients, be an integral part of a strong interdisciplinary team, and join an experienced and supportive staff. Applicants should be flexible, and able to cross cover in different areas due to fluctuating census, absences, or shifts in coverage. Hours for this position are either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.

      This position is a part time time physical therapist rehab position working primarily with patients in our rehab unit. This candidate will provide patient care to neurological, orthopedic and general rehabilitation patients. You will beworking closely with an experienced group of occupational and physical therapy staff within the Psychiatry/Rehabilitation team. Clinical experience in rehabilitation is preferred. The selected candidate will work a shift of either Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday or Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday with the hours of 8-5pm with occasional weekend and evening coverage. PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - 3051

Requires licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the state of North Carolina.

This physical therapist assistant will provide patient care to patients with an orthopedic and aquatic focus. You will be working closely with an experienced group of physical therapy staff within the Outpatient team. This assistant must have excellent time management, communication and organizational skills, and remain flexible in a fast ? paced environment. Good leadership skills will be necessary to coordinate patient care coverage with other disciplines, and teams within the dept.

PHYSICAL THERAPY MANAGER-U - 9445

Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapy program. Licensure as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina and a minimum of four years of experience, at least one year in a tertiary care hospital setting and two years in a relevant specialty area OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

      This manager will provide personnel management, budget recommendations and oversight for OT and PT outpatient programs and chest PT program. He or she will lead quality improvement teams, manage productivity, and coordinate program development as well. These programs include 24.5 FTE positions and about 25 individuals. This manager will have staff located in several areas of the hospital, the Ambulatory Care Center and the UNC Wellness Center. Administrative skills applicable to the outpatient environment including staff and patient scheduling, billing policy, documentation, and knowledge of regulations are needed.
