AIR MEDICAL TELECOMMUNICATOR - 4607

Requires high school diploma and one year of radio communications operator or dispatch experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT

    Applicants with EMT certification and previous experience as a Medical Telecommunicator are preferred.

    • Full-time, Rotating, 40hrs/week
      Strongly desire previous air medical communicator experience. Must be familiar with medical terminology. Prefer current North Carolina EMT credential or eligible for reciprocity, North Carolina Drivers License and one year EMS experience. Recommend to successfully complete Certified Flight Communicator (NAACS) within one year of hire. This position is day/evenings/night every other weekend rotation consisting of 12 hour shifts (7a-7p/ 11a-11p/ 7p-7a).

ANESTHESIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - 3012

Requires graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technician program; or high school diploma and two years of operating room experience in calibration, maintenance, and repair of anesthesia equipment or similar equipment, or related experience in a hospital/healthcare setting. To be considered as a trainee, candidates must have high school diploma and one year of operating room experience involving direct patient care and/or equipment maintenance and calibration. Post high-school education will be considered for partial equivalency.

  • ANESTHESIA SUPPORT
    • Part-time, Weekends, 6:30-5:00 Saturday and Sunday, 20hrs/week
      This is a position in the Main OR.
      SKILLS ALSO REQUIRED: DIRECT PATIENT CARE, EQUIPMENT CALIBRATION, OPERATING ROOM
    • Full-time, Evenings, , 40hrs/week, 1:00pm-9:30pm
      This position will work in the Main Operating Room with occasional holidays and weekends.

CENTRAL STERILE TECHNICIAN - 3030

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and nine months experience in the processing or inventorying of medical surgical supplies; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • ANESTHESIA SUPPORT
    • Full-time, 40hrs/week
      This is a 2pm to 10:30 pm position for the Main OR and Women's and Children's OR.

  • CENTRAL STERILE SUPPLY
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      Experienced instrument processing/assembly person for the Central Sterile Processing Department. Position will work in CPD and support the Operating Room. Rotation of weekends and holidays is to be expected. Position will be responsible for assembly of scopes and both individual and trays of instruments based on the established lists. Must be able to read and speak English fluently. Computer mouse work and basic typing/printing functions required for this position. Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8 hours a day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a very busy/fast paced environment.
    • Full-time, Evenings, 40hrs/week, 3:00pm-11:30pm
      This position requires an experienced instrument processing/assembly person for the Central Sterile Processing Department. Position will work in CPD and support the Operating Room. Rotation of weekends and holidays is to be expected. Position will be responsible for assembly of scopes and both individual and trays of instruments based on the established lists. Must be able to read and speak English fluently. computer mouse work and basic typing/printing functions required for the position.
    • Full-time, , 40hrs/week
      Experienced instrument processing/assembly person for the Central Sterile Processing Department. Position will work in CPD and support the Operating Room.     • Full-time, Days
      Case Cart assembly position for the Central Sterile Processing Department. Position will work in CPD and support the Operating Room. Rotation of weekends and holidays is to be expected. Position will be responsible for assembly of case carts, maintenance of supply inventory and scope disinfection. Must be able to read and speak English fluently. Computer mouse work and basic typing/printing functions required for the position. Stock Clerk experience is a plus.

CENTRAL STERILE TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR - 3031

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and four years experience in the processing or inventorying of medical surgical supplies with one of the four years in a supervisory capacity in the work area; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • ACC DAY-OP
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week, 8:00am-4:30pm
      Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience working in a Central Sterile Department or have similar experience with instrument sets, processing and infection control standards for a CPD unit. Current or past experience supervising others and responsible for their job performance appraisals preferred. Will be responsible for the ordering, receiving, set-up and cataloging of instrument sets, capital and minor equipment required for the expansion. In the expanded unit, responsibility to include staff schedules, maintain day to day operations, inventory control, troubleshoot machinery and education to staff re policy and procedures. It is the expectation that the successful candidate will complete the certification within 6 months of hire for the "Certified SPD Tech" and within a year of hire to complete the certification for the "SPD Supervisor". Routine hours for the position are 8am - 4:30pm daily. No weekends or holidays. Rotation to supervise department as needed up till 7pm required.

CLINICAL DIETITIAN - 2600

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related area and completion of an ADA approved coordinated undergraduate program or dietetic internship and ADA registration and licensed as a registered dietitian in the State of North Carolina or registry eligible with registration and licensure as registered dietitian in the State of North Carolina obtained within six months of hire.

SKILLS REQUIRED: CUSTOMER SERVICE, REGISTERED DIETICIAN, COUNSELING/EDUCATION, COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE

  • OUTPATIENT NUTRITION SERVICES
    • Full-time, Days, 40hrs/week
      *** CYSTIC FIBROSIS CLINIC DIETITIAN ***Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of inpatients/outpatients in a variety of settings. Perform duties in support of and in compliance with performance improvement plans, JCAHO, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. This position is primarily utilized in the Cystic Fibrosis Nutrition Clinic (both inpatient and outpatient, pediatric and adult).ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:EXPERIENCE:Requires one year experience in an acute care or high risk outpatient setting or a combination of experience with Cystic Fibrosis Patients in an acute care environment with exposure/understanding of ambulatory counseling practices preferred. DEGREES, LICENSURE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS: Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration; Licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) by the North Carolina Board of Dietetics and Nutrition. NPI /UPIN required or obtained within one month of hire. RDs w/ CSP credentials and/or experience with Cystic Fibrosis patient management are encouraged to apply.

Requires graduation from an approved dental assistant course; or high school diploma and one year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

      Must be a certified Dental Assistant II. Must possess good organizational skills, ability to prioritize work assignments, multi-tasking ability, demonstrate independent judgment and decision making process in a fast-paced environment. EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECH. DRIVER - 3017

Requires high school diploma or equivalent, EMT certification, and one year of EMT experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have current North Carolina EMT certification and a valid North Carolina driver’s license in good standing.

  • CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT

    Qualified candidates must have prior completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operators course, one year current experience as an emergency vehicle driver, the ability to meet heavy lifting requirements in accordance with department policy, must meet current height/weight restrictions in accordance with department policy, must possess current CPR certification, must be able to produce a basic document in MS Word, and must have the ability to perform basic troubleshooting of an ambulance.

    • Part-time, Rotating, 36 Hours a Week
      This position requires 12 hour rotating shifts and bases in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and other operational sites. Applicant must have current North Carolina EMT credential or eligible for reciprocity. Prefer two or more years of driving emergency vehicles. Applicant must be able to lift 150 pounds with assistance. Prior to the interview, the applicant must have acurrent Basic Life Support card. If hired, the applicant must complete an emergency vehicle operator course within one year.

FLIGHT PARAMEDIC - 3016

Requires high school diploma or equivalent, EMT-Paramedic certification, ACLS, BTLS, and PALS certification one of which must be at instructor level, and three years of Paramedic experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have current North Carolina EMT-Paramedic Certification and a valid North Carolina driver’s license in good standing.

  • CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT
    • Part-time, Rotating, 36hrs/week
      This position includes a mixture of air and ground transport shifts at our three bases: Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Fayetteville. Prefer 5 years active and recent at the paramedic level in a high volume EMS service. Prefer CCEMT-P and NREMP-P. Critical care transport experience preferred. Previous teaching or lecture experience to various audiences preferred. NRP and Emergency Vehicle Operations preferred, must obtain within one year of hire. This is a 36-hour a week full time position.

OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT - 3060

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a JRCOMP-approved Ophthalmic Assistant educational program; or one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SKILLS REQUIRED: OPHTHALMOLOGY, MS OUTLOOK, KEYBOARDING, MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY

  • UNC EYE CENTER AT NEW BERN
    • Part-time, Days, 20hrs/week
      Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to work in New Bern office two to three days per week as needed. Should be able to perform all basic skills under direction of ophthalmolgist. Should be familiar with ophthalmic equipment, medical supplies and equipment and able to use an electronic medical record.

OPHTHALMIC SCRIBE - 3066

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer computer literacy and/or medical terminology knowledge.

  • UNC EYE CENTER AT NEW BERN

      This position serves to assist the Ophthalmologist and the technical staff at the UNC Eye Clinic in New Bern. Expierence in Ophthalmology is preferred. High School grad or GED. Position will work in patient care areas of clinical setting, aiding with patient care, treatment and contact as directed by the Ophthalmolgist. Strong Keyboarding skills are a must. Expierence with electronic medical record is a plus.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE PATH- PD - 7008

Requires licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina and one year of professional experience or completion of one year clinical fellowship. PER DIEM

  • SPEECH PATHOLOGY
    • Per-diem, Weekends
      This is a PRN weekend position. Hours will be assigned on an as needed basis. Qualified candidates will possess a NC License, active ASHA CCCs and a minimum one year medical-based SLP experience. Must be familiar with acute management of swallow disorders. MBSS and PMSV experience a must, FEES experience a plus.
